Arctic Food Lab – NORTHERN FLAVOURS SIMMER IN PANNU

Arctic Food Lab highlights the uniqueness of ingredients
grown under the northern skies of Finland and a culinary heritage shaped by Arctic conditions, rooted in Oulu – the European Capital of Culture 2026 – and its surrounding regions. We are delighted to be part of this initiative and carry the trademark granted to our dishes!

We prepare our delicacies using local and Finnish ingredients, complemented with carefully selected imported ingredients of the highest quality. Responsibility and sustainability are reflected in everything we do.

We favor local partners according to availability. We use meat products from Viskaalin farm in Muhos in our
dishes. Our fish is supplied by the Oulu-based company Hätälä Oy and Kalaliike H.Kuha from Ii. In summer and autumn, our trusted foragers gather the treasures of the
nearby forests — berries and mushrooms — just for us.

Reservations

We accept reservations within a limited capacity! 

We can arrange a single table for up to 22 people. This “Long Table” may host multiple parties if the group sizes are over 5 but less than 22. 

For group bookings of 10 people or more, we request food orders in advance.

Note: For tables of 2–4 people, we primarily welcome guests on a first-come, first-served basis. At Restaurant Pannu, we love bold flavors and aromas, a no-frills yet creative kitchen. You’ll find us right in the heart of Oulu, on Kauppurienkatu. Our menu is diverse, offering delicious salads, pastas, pizzas, and burgers. 

We’ve been serving the hungry and thirsty of Oulu during peak dining times for over 32 years. Our tasty and daily changing lunch is served on weekdays from 11:00 to 14:00, and dinner is available on both weekdays and weekends.
